CJ CheilJedang has opened a Global Technical Center in Singapore to expand its food seasoning ingredients business in the Asia-Pacific region.
The company held an opening ceremony at the center in Singapore’s Biopolis research district on Tuesday. Officials from the Singapore Economic Development Board and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Singapore attended the event.
From Wednesday through Friday, the company invited major customers from neighboring markets to showcase the center alongside its key seasonings, nutritional ingredients and applications.
The Singapore facility is the company’s fourth Global Technical Center, following locations in South Korea, the US and the Netherlands. It will serve as a hub for technical support across the Asia-Pacific region.
The center helps customers develop customized flavors and products for commercialization using TasteNrich, CJ TIDE and Add-Mi nucleotide solutions.
TasteNrich is a natural seasoning ingredient made using CJ CheilJedang’s microbial fermentation technology. It can help reduce sodium and other additives while maintaining taste quality.
CJ CheilJedang plans to expand the TasteNrich product portfolio and offer customized solutions to customers as it grows its business in global markets. The company expects the new center to accelerate technical exchange and collaboration and increase sales in regional markets.
“A Global Technical Center in Singapore will allow us to work more closely with customers across the Asia-Pacific region,” a CJ CheilJedang official said. “We will provide solutions that meet both health and taste needs through differentiated technologies and products.”
